Ribbon Cutting for Present Hope Ministry, Inc.

Please join us for a ribbon cutting celebrating our new member, Present Hope Ministry, Inc. This will be one of four ribbon cuttings held at the Gilmer Chamber.

Following the tragic earthquake of 2010 in Haiti, Gilmer native Dedra Key founded Present Hope Ministry, Inc. as a Christian humanitarian organization dedicated to working with children, families, and their community in Ouanaminthe, Haiti, to reach their full potential by addressing the causes of poverty and injustice.
With four schools in different villages, we currently provide almost 600 children with a Christ-centered education along with nutritious meals and access to medical care and clothing. The meals provided through our sponsorship program are most likely the only meals the children will have that day.
We serve believing that a transformation of heart, paired with countering chronic hunger and mental impairment, will inspire the next generation to bring change to their nation.
Your partnership allows us to serve wholeheartedly because the alternative — allowing children to suffer needlessly from hunger, poverty, and disease — is unacceptable.
Through our partners gift's we have been able to serve children preschool- 3rd grade, and now we are currently building the upstairs classrooms for completion of the 5th-8th grade classrooms at our main campus. Construction cannot continue until we can raise the $32,000 USD needed for completion for phase 1. The reality of life in Haiti is that without our Ministry, the cycle of no education and hunger continues, leaving their futures dismal at best.
