Ribbon Cutting for Benton MacKaye Trail Association

Please join us for a ribbon cutting for the Benton MacKaye Trail Association. The ribbon cutting will be held during the Georgia Mountain Trail Fest!

Formed in 1980, the nonprofit Benton MacKaye Trail Association (BMTA) was tasked with constructing, maintaining, and preserving the Benton MacKaye Trail (BMT) to leave "a footpath for generations to follow."
The BMTA has grown to over 870 members, and they are pleased to welcome East Ellijay, Ellijay, and Gilmer County as a BMT Trail Town Community.
